6053 Vice President of Accounting
General Job Description:
Our client is actively acquiring land and developing apartments. Ensure accurate, complete and objective communication of project status and risk exposure to CEO, COO, investors and other stakeholders.
Manage accounting team to maintain control over project budgets and costs, schedule, and associated risks. Responsible for all financial, reporting, cash flow requirements by project, debt administration, and contract review for projects within the development and construction team. Planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting on development projects of varying complexity in multiple geographical locations.
Skills/Education needed –
Extensive knowledge of real estate development and construction project controls, and familiarity with portfolio level control structures/practices.
Cost/cash flow management, planning, estimating, scheduling and other project controls functions over the construction for large capital projects. Working with construction general contractors, the construction billing process, and managing construction cost issues.
Expertise in financial analysis, schedule analysis, modeling and budgeting methodologies. Knowledge of construction and apartment development.
Advanced MS Excel. Strong communication, project management/organizational, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
8-15 years of relevant work experience in real estate development, construction management, and/or finance.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or construction management.
