Responsibilities include managing a group that’s in charge of a 24-hour PO turnaround timeframe, develop solutions to streamline processes, negotiate & dispute contracts as needed, & create ad hoc reports that are related to purchasing. Report directly to CFO.
Responsible for all purchasing-related matters for Multifamily Group, ensuring all properties comply w/ the Purchase Order Policy.
In charge of updating the SOP & create training materials.
Oversee the Agents by providing leadership & providing solutions to any issues that arise. In charge of updating System Workflows for PO’s / Invoices in the Nexus Payables System.
Maintain all spreadsheets related to pricing & historical purchase logs daily.
Work w/ Redevelopment Group for Interior Renovation matters closely. Responsible for buying approved goods under the contracted pricing for Interior Renovations.
In charge of maintaining relations w/ all vendors.
Meet w/ all Major National Account Managers on an annual basis.
Discuss new products, pricing & explore options for new opportunities for potential cost savings. Negotiate new pricing for all major National Accounts.
This includes but is not limited to the major Appliance, MRO & Paint Accounts.
Every month, approve recodes for Acctg dept. Assist Dir. of Ops/Asset Mgrs on bids.
Settle all major vendor disputes due to pricing errors, installation issues, or any breach in contractual agreements that may arise. Approve invoices w/in Nexus daily.
Stay apprised of trends such as price increases or outages. Report any findings to the Dept Heads that are affected by changes due to supply chain shortages.
High School Degree is required.
Coursework in accounting or account payable processing is preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree is nice but not required.
3+ years of experience in a role as a Buyer or Purchaser is required.
3+ years of experience in a Managerial role is required.
1+ year of experience w/ accounts payable is preferred, but not required.
MS Excel, OneDrive, and Google Sheets. Experience w/in Nexus Payables, AMSI & other kinds of Property Management Software programs preferred.
