Privately held CPA Firm seeks seeks Real Estate Tax Accountant to work with a diversified multi-state portfolio for client

General Job Description:

Job description includes – Filing federal, state, and local tax documents by preparing property tax returns, state pages, and federal, state, and municipal returns, extensions, and quarterly payments.

Prepares tax provision schedules by reviewing, preparing, and consolidating provision schedules. Recommends tax strategies by researching federal, state, and local taxation issues.

Maintains legislative materials by reviewing, interpreting, and implementing new or revised tax laws. Maintains compliance.  Revises procedures by developing and streamlining procedures and worksheets for calculation of tax provisions.

Identifies profitability of acquisitions by analyzing tax information; calculating key ratios; identifying areas of tax savings. Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed. .

Skills/Education needed –

Candidate will have BS/BS in Accounting and experience in commercial and/or multifamily real estate tax.

Must have knowledge of tax code 704 and 754. CPA nice but not mandatory.

Additional experience with hands on accounting preferred. Salary, benefits, bonus.
